Blackburn with Darwen safeguarding adults policies, procedures and forms

The Pan Lancashire & Cumbria partnership of Blackburn with Darwen, Blackpool, Lancashire and Cumbria have launched an online safeguarding adults policies and procedures manual which has been developed in conjunction with a host organisation Tri-X.

The manual is primarily policy and procedures. However, it also includes information and useful links about adult safeguarding processes.

The online manual provides access to a shared approach to adult safeguarding across the four areas, including consistent language and commonly used terms. The manual is also linked to local protocols and external sources of information and guidance.

The manual is for the whole adult workforce and aims to promote multi-agency working and provide information about how to safeguarding adults 'at risk' of abuse or neglect and provides guidance to enable practitioners to respond appropriately to adult safeguarding concerns.

The manual will be regularly updated to reflect ongoing developments in local policy and regional and national guidance.
